it's been a while eh?

oh hello :)

You may have noticed some changes around here! The last few posts were written by Jess (the fox + feather store manager) as I took a blogging break. However, Jess now has her own lovely blog One Foxy Lady so I am back in the driving seat over here.

Jess's blog- One Foxy Lady

I've been spending my time updating the fox and feather website. It is looking a bit fresher now I hope you will agree. I've tried to make it a bit easier to navigate and added a lot of new product, including some gorgeous festival jewellery, sunglasses and cool bags. There is still a lot more to be added which I am working on, promise! It just takes sooo long, please bare with me..

We have also introduced a new brand to our store. It is called Poppy Lux and has so far proved to be really popular in our Bristol shop. We literally cannot get enough of their playsuits and shorts. They keep selling out! What do you think? The brand is based in Brighton and I think that is reflected in its vibe. Kind of cool and laid back but with a bit of an edge. I think we will be seeing a lot more of their stuff in fox + feather in the future!

The super fans amongst you (arf) will probably already know about our work with artist Amber Elise. We have already collaborated on 2 collections exclusively for fox + feather and I can now reveal the 3rd collection is in the pipeline! It is looking amazing. I won't tell you too much just yet, but here is a little teaser of one of the new tee designs that will form part of the new Circus themed collection. It should be in store by end July fingers crossed.

There is some other exciting news to be announced about BIG changes happening in store in August, but I'm going keep quiet about that for now. All will be revealed soon...

Thanks for reading. Let me know what you think! xx

Summer is here!! :)

Gorgeous Amy modelling at our fashion show.  She is wearing Nancy Dee Beth Trousers, Louche Wyette Blouse, Louche Trent Coat and Jeepers Creepers Ella Sunglasses

Hello my foxy lot!  Sorry it's been a while, all go in the Fox and Feather headquarters!  We had such a fabulous night at our fashion show!  Such a nice vibe and turn out and managed to raise a good wedge for the lovely Sue Ryder Charity!  Huge thanks to everyone involved, you know who you are!

Now summer has finally hit us (touch wood).  It's scorching outside whilst I'm writing this!  Lucky for you guys we have had lots of new summer stock through the door, so get on down here and breath a bit of sun into your wardrobe!  One of my favourites in store at the moment is the Miss Patina Good Egg Dress pictured above.  How cute is that...and it has eggs on?! Any fan of Haribo is going to love it ;) It has our signature vintage feel and is a great little summer dress, worn in the day with flats or heels for those lovely summer garden parties you are going to go to!

If you are more of a casual summer person grab the amazing Louche Winnie shorts! Pictured at the bottom of the page, you can see they have cute little anchors on them, team them with a little tee and pumps and be a little nautical without going over board! ;)  (Sorry couldn't help it) :D

My absolute fave at the moment does have to be the Louche Badger Dress!  I have taken a little selfie today for you to see.  It is so flattering, I've been blessed with a few curves and the stripe lines and attached waist belt really help draw you in in the right places. Yay! It's a blue and cream and today I have teamed it with a Victorian style navy jacket and baby pink bow kitten heels.  Don't forget to add a bit of our vintage style with a head scarf and some funky jewellery, we have great styles in from Louche at the moment so come and see and get foxy!

Love to you-One Foxy Lady xxx

It's an Animal Thang! (also did someone mention P.A.R.T.Y?!)

Teaming the Kendra Cardi with Kat Jumper and Armistice Leo Stroke Mid Cut High Tops.  It's an animal thang!

Kendra Cardi  and Kat Jumper
Hey my foxy gang!  Brrrrrr, it's cold outside!  But we are going to absolutely 'stone cold'(hardehar) refuse to let that get in the way of our spring vibe! No, no, no!  This week I have gone for an animal theme with my gorgeous Kat Jumper and AMAZING (in love) leopard print high tops.  The Kat Jumper has all the warmth you need for these cold days but still includes a touch of spring with the lovely turquoise and peach colours!  Why not add an extra layer with the lovely Kendra Cardi (goes with everything believe me) and a funky shirt for a gorgeous under layer.  I always find a printed colar, really funks up an outfit and makes it just a little more quirky ;).  Try the Cora Paisley Top , the colours would match perfectly with the jumper. The high tops are so versatile! I wear with dress', trousers, or skirts!  If you prefer things a little more plain we also have them in Navy, Smoke, Black and Camel, all available in store.

We are having a parddddy!  To celebrate us being open a year!  YAY!  A ticket entitles you to £5 to spend in store on the night, glass of champs, goody bag and a chance to win £100 gift voucher!  You can get your Party ticket online or in store.  Can't wait to see you all :) Your One Foxy Lady xxxxxxxxxxx

Hello From 1 Foxy Lady!

Our new Spring Summer window, featuring Nancy Dee and Louche and Goldie and Armistice
Cate Cherry Blossom Dress
Hello my foxy people!  Sorry we have been a bit quiet, it's been all go here with fashion shows, organising our 1st Year Birthday party and lots of new and exciting stock coming through the door for SS13!  One of the new designers we are stocking is Nancy Dee who we LOVE!  Her stuff is 100% organic cotton and all made in the UK which is really nice to know and means that even though the price tag is slightly higher then the norm here, you know you are going to be walking away with a high quality classic garment that you can pull out the wardrobe time and time again.  Her stuff is gorgeous too, I have this Cate Dress and it is so flattering on and her stuff goes up to a size 16 for the more curvaceous lady, WOO!
Talking of which we have started to stock more size 16's, like the lovely Kendra Cardi from Louche London which is great to team with one of our gorgeous a Spring / Summer dress ' whilst it is still a bit nippy out there!

Over and out for now ;)

drooling is not a good look!

So...the new season shoes from Armistice have finally arrived and I think I speak for everyone in the fox + feather team when I say THEY ARE AMAZING! If you haven't heard of Armistice before, let me tell you a bit about them. They are French and they are so cool it hurts, in that way that only the French can be! We trialled a few styles from them for AW12 and quickly sold out, so for Spring 2013 we have added more styles and more colours. They do laid back, stylish footwear that is effortless and easy to wear. Perfect!

They have various different styles, 'Stroke', 'Stone', 'Lazy', 'Cruise' covering all the trends, creepers, boat shoes, loafers and slip-on.

I've just started adding them to our website. All the options on the photo's below will be on there soon. If you desperately NEED them in your life (like we do!) just give us a call (0117 3292 575) and we can sort you out. We understand, we have only just about stopped drooling...

it's the new season lovelies!

Yey! We have finally started to bring in our new season collection. There is always a time in the middle of January when you feel like the new season is never going to start and then all of a sudden, deliveries start arriving and it all gets very exciting!

So last week our very favourite suppliers of the best UK womenswear brands jumped into action and sent us boxes and boxes of brand new stock. We had deliveries from Goldie London, Louche London, Armistice and Madam Rage. Phew...the shop is looking full to the brim!

Our main focus so far has been finding the cosiest and coolest knitwear. We have got animal prints, cats in glasses, studs  and sparkly fluffy options! In fact, my favourite of the new jumpers sold out completely in 4 days! I think that it is a record for us! It was the very cool Bright Animal Print Sweatshirt  £25 by Madam Rage. Don't worry though ladies...we have re-ordered it and it should be back on our shelves and online in a couple of weeks. And yes, we have tripled the qty's this time round!

the foxy ladies Christmas DO!

Last night we had our Fox and Feather Christmas party. Yey! We went to The Flyer on Gloucester Road for a proper Christmas dinner. The table looked gorgeous!

Everyone wore their festive jumpers....apart from me cos we sold out before I could get one!! Yes I'm the one in very festive black....

So from left to right it's Nia, me (Clare), Hayley, Amy B, Emma, Amy and Jess. You can't quite see it but my jumper is a crazy magic picture where stags appear the more you look at it. Yes, really! Good for scaring drunk people with!

I had to head home early to look after mini me, but from all reports much fun was had...say no more...

Thanks to all my gorgeous girls for a great night and for all your hard work this year!

Never mind the rain

I've had another busy week this week. Lots of Spring 13 Look Books are landing on my desk and I really do need to make sure we get all our orders placed soon. Goldie London's new collection looks superb and I am already putting together new season outfits in my head even though it's only November!

The rain has been so torrential I decided that even the most practical waterproof jacket would not protect me from the elements, so I made the decision to just wear what I wanted and try to tackle the weather with the worlds biggest umbrella!

With this in mind I have been loving our new Little Mistress Black Waterfall Silver Stud Detail PU Jacket. It has quilted sleeves (LOVE a bit of quilting!) and star shaped studs. It looks great with loads of different looks, skinny jeans, leggings etc but I think my favourite outfit was with my trusty Pamela Mann Fairisle tights and a basic black jersey vest dress. I teamed the jacket up with my new favourite label Miss Pom Pom and their fab Super Pom Scarf They have the cutest knitwear accessories you have ever seen (I do believe Ella Henderson likes to rock a Miss Pom Pom scarf!) so check them out quick.

Where's the party at?!

When the nights get longer and the cold air starts biting, more often then not I find myself dressing for comfort rather then style. So when we get a delivery of party dresses, they have to be incredibly gorgeous for me to even think about wearing one! And this is exactly what happened when we unwrapped out latest box of goodies from Little Mistress. I was instantly drawn to the beautiful cobalt maxi dress with gold beading and headed straight to the changing rooms to try it on. It is fits extremely well, with great shaping around the bust and an elasticated back to ensure it stays where it's supposed to! Even more appealing is the fact that if I wanted to, I could keep my thermal leggings on underneath and no-one would ever know......sshhh! :-) ....now where's the party at?!

Good for layering, good for me!

Well helloooo November! It's my favourite month of the year. I love the smell of winter approaching, bonfires, fireworks and treacle toffee. Oh and it's my birthday! Ha!

I'm loving the chance to finally pull on my snuggly woolly tights. Layering up is fun! Last week we had new deliveries from Chuti and Louche London. I'm still a bit undecided as what to choose to update my wardrobe. I want a new skirt and a new cardigan but unfortunately one of each is not an option ;(

So.. do I get this gorgeous pleated beauty from Louche London? I love the coloured bands and the detail on the waistband on this Lejoi Skirt. I imagine myself wearing this little number with some coloured tights and ankle boots.

Or..do I go for the super cute Bunny Cardigan from Chuti? Animal motifs are one of my favourite trends this season.

Oh whatever, it's my birthday, I'm just going to get both. Sssshhh....
